Berkdrums Sincere apologies if I start to repeat myself in these small reviews... It’s a combination of not always having the time to search for some new words in the online dictionary (sometimes I write these reviews @ the side of the road, travelling between job-locations and feeling overwhelmed by the music on my in-ears...), and the ‘in the spur of the moment’ -passion to share my enthusiasm with my fellow ambient-aficionados.... anyways: finally it’s here!: a top-collection from the hugely talented ambient-maestro himself... A chance for everyone to hear why T.A.V. deserves so much more attention and listeners/buyers! Please do yourselves a favour, buy this fantastic collection and afterwards start collecting ALL T.A.V. -masterpieces, ‘cause these are all brilliant works that deserve a place in your ambient-collection! (Note: ‘Drifting Through Space’ still available on CD!! T.A.V.’s first physical release after the highly limited ‘One & Two’ long time ago...)

about

An introduction, to friends old and new, to the music of The Ambient Visitor, a collection of peaceful generative ambient music.

This compilation includes a taste of each album self-released under this project. The full albums are available here too.

In August 2011, I set about experimenting making generative ambient music, the seed for which is this album - thelovelymoon.bandcamp.com/album/music-for-dreams - by my project The Lovely Moon. I wanted to create minimal, peaceful and beautiful music that was truly ambient: it can be background music or something you intently listen to.

The music is created generatively. Each note plays on a separate loop, each of a different length, so these pieces could, in theory, continue for a very, very long time.

In 2013, I lost interest in this project. I couldn't see what else I could do with this music. I had explored space quite enough.

But then in 2016, with new found confidence and creativity, I came back down to Earth (mostly) and the project was reborn and this time each album had an actual title and everything.

These albums are a joy to create.
Thank you to everyone who has supported this project over the years and for your kind words.

There is much more to come.
